I'm looking for studies where system dynamics simulation has been used in real-world education planning - at the high school, or below level. There are lots of examples in higher education (obviously), but I'd be interested in published examples of school districts (or government departments) using it directly.

I took a look but haven't found anything. Could you share anything that you found?

I'm currently doing data analysis for a primary school in NY to identify kids with borderline test scores... That said, I'd much rather do a smarter type of OR model.

Haven't found any SD work yet, but I did come across someone doing Data Envelopment analysis in NY - which might be of interest if you're interest in more general OR applications in NY schools. Here's a link: http://www.prismdecision.com/home/solutions/school-benchmarking.
